Job Description: Maintained, under the most natural of conditions - no running water and no electricity - 16 horses, 9 cows, 10 goats, 20 chickens, 2 ducts, 2 geese, 15 dogs and one very obnoxious Magpie. Maintain (repair) vehicles, haul water, round up cattle, brand and train horses. Halter breaking and training was the other hat I wore. Horses were mostly of the mustang variety from nearby Indian Reservations and wild national forest lands. Many had never seen a human before being captured and were between 6 years old and 18 years. The latest arrivals were from the Spanish Colonial bloodlines.
